October 27 – The new Tarkett STUDIO was opened in the building of Galerija Podova, located at 7a Milutina Milankovića Street on New Belgrade. The opening was attended by 130 guests, among which were many architects, designers, interior designers, etc.

Tarkett STUDIO is a special section of Galerija Podova dedicated to both professional and amateur designers/interior designers, as well as creative users. Studio is intended to serve as a creative center where clients can ask for a design-related professional advice or even a full solution for their home and/or workplace, with special attention devoted to fulfilling both their esthetic and functional needs. With a wide selection of chosen floor coverings of premium quality, Galerija Podova will help you turn your dreams into reality.

Specially for this occasion, our guest from France Beatrice Mange, Tarkett Vice President for Design, held a design-themed presentation entitled 'Tarkett color system and design trends'. This workshop presented an ideal opportunity to present to our guests a rich choice of different floor coverings in the assortment of Galerija Podova intended for both residential and commercial use such as hospitals, schools, business offices, and sales rooms.

Special interest was caused by the new collection of Tarkett linoleums with xf surface treatment, awarded GOOD DESIGN award in 2009 in the 'Industrial Design' category. This prestigious award is awarded by the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. Tarkett Linoleum xf is made of all-natural materials such as linseed (flaxseed) oil, cork, sawdust, limestone, and jute, which provide its antibacterial and non-flammable qualities. Both this and its superior protection make Tarkett Linoleum xf products ideal for rooms used by both children and older/sick people.

Guests were also presented the unique on-line modeling software for designing floors in rooms (Tarkett color system), a simple, easy, user-friendly tool for choosing floor color, design, and/or texture, so you can apply the chosen floor pattern to the 3D model. In addition, there was a demonstration of another design-based program – Tarkett interactive 3D room viewer, ready to use in Tarkett STUDIO and intended for easier visualization of chosen parquet in predefined and individual spaces.

Besides the Tarkett assortment, our guests were presented a vast array of other innovative floor solutions for residential and commercial use from the rich assortment of Galerija Podova. This is our second creative center dedicated to color and design – the first one was opened in our retail store at the Boulevard of King Alexander 109-111.
